The Challenge

BridgeInsight is a growth consultancy that helps businesses scale through collaborative ecosystems and strategic partnerships. One of their clients, PackagingIQ — a provider of sustainable packaging materials — needed to establish a professional B2B e-commerce presence to sell their product range online.

The problems were twofold: PackagingIQ had no in-house technical capability to build or manage a platform, and their existing IT infrastructure was fragmented across multiple environments with no coherent management strategy. They needed both a capable online store and a stable, secure IT foundation to run the business on.

BridgeInsight brought in Kimshuka to own both — with full accountability for delivery on each.

What We Did

We ran the two workstreams in parallel — IT stabilisation and e-commerce build — so that the business had a solid foundation to operate on by the time the store launched.

  • Migrated all business systems from multiple fragmented environments into Microsoft 365
  • Configured email, calendar, SharePoint, and access controls for the full team
  • Took on ongoing management of the Office 365 environment post-migration
  • Designed and built a full B2B e-commerce platform with product catalogues, variant management, and custom pricing
  • Integrated the store with third-party tools for order management and CRM
  • Launched 6+ product lines including Expandable Mailers, Paper Protective Mailers, and WrapIt products
  • Took full ownership of platform maintenance and ongoing development

Throughout both projects, our approach was consistent: the client's outcomes came first. Scope and budget were tools, not constraints that limited what we'd do to make the project succeed.

Kimshuka took full ownership — not just of the code, but of the outcome. That's what made the difference.

What This Means If You're in a Similar Position

If you need to get online — whether that's a product store, a client portal, or a B2B platform — and you don't have an in-house team to build it, Kimshuka can take full ownership from design to launch to ongoing management. And if your IT foundation needs work too, we can run both in parallel so nothing holds the other up.
